How To Control Your Diabetes

Diabetes is amongst the most common and prevailing disease in the world. With nearly billions of people across the world are suffering from diabetes. It is a group of disease that results in increased sugar in the blood and it is caused due to the reason- when our body’s ability to produce or respond to insulin is impaired. Insulin is used as energy by the body and this energy is transported to the cells.




Types of Diabetes

Type 1 Diabetes

It typically occurs in adolescence and is known as juvenile diabetes, though it can develop at any age. Type 2 diabetes is a condition in which pancreas produces little or no insulin. There are various symptoms of Type 1 diabetes like Frequent urination, Extreme thirst, blurred vision, fatigue,  sudden weight loss.

Type 2 Diabetes

It typically occur in people for age more than 40 years. In type 2 diabetes, the body either does not produce enough insulin or it resists insulin. Main reasons behind type 2 diabetes are overweight, high blood pressure and symptoms of it are same as that of type 1 diabetes.


Various things that control diabetes


Dates



Date is a sweet tasty brown and sticky fruit that is rich in fibre. Any fibre rich product will be a diabetes friendly. Dates have antioxidants present in it that help in controlling the sugar level and hence the diabetes being sweet in taste. Moreover, except dates, one can have fruits and vegetables that are rich in fibre.


Cinnamon



Cinnamon is delicious spice which contains bioactive antioxidants that assist in fighting against diabetes. Studies found that cinnamon improves insulin sensitivity and controls the blood sugar level in the body. You can consume it in a form of cinnamon water, you can put 1 teaspoon of cinnamon in warm water and drink it before going to bed. It will help in controlling diabetes as well as helps in reducing weight.


Eggs



Consumption of egg provide many health benefits and lower down the risk of heart diseases. Eggs improve insulin sensitivity and control the cholesterol level in the body. It is seen that people with type 2 diabetes who consumes eggs daily have improvement in blood sugar levels and cholesterol level in body. 



Flaxseeds



Flaxseeds are good source of fibre which controls the blood sugar level and cholesterol level in the body. It also lower down the risk of heart diseases and cardiovascular issues as well. They are rich in viscous fibre that improves insulin sensitivity and gut health which reduces the diabetes. 


Exercise




The main reason behind type 2 diabetes is overweight. Exercise can reverse diabetes naturally. Reducing weight with various kind of physical activities such as aerobics, swimming, gym, cardiovascular exercises, yoga increases metabolism of the body by burning fat and helps in maintaining blood sugar level. In addition, strength exercises using machines or weight is also beneficial as it helps in building and maintaining muscles which controls blood sugar.
